REVIEWS FOR “Herbal Use in the American Civil War”
A treasure for any gardener, herbalist, history buff and
This is a well-written, comprehensive and beautiful resource for anyone interested in history, herbals, plants, gardening and Civil War reenacting. It is an amazing piece of work! The amount of information is astounding, and the author has wonderfully laid out detailed information on history, culture and the plants used during the era. (The book includes illustrations of the plants discussed in the book, so it also serves as a plant identification resource for heirloom and vintage gardening. The color version is most helpful for plant identification!) ---Amazon Review
The packaging is professional. The front cover design is good. You have clearly done a great deal of research on this topic, and this is a thorough resource that some might want to read cover to cover and others might want on hand as a reference. The formatting of the text and layout of the pages are reader-friendly. --Judge, 25th Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards
